"An apotheosis" -- a term commonly used at the samba-school Carnival parading in Rio -- might well be applied to all the stages throughout Palestina's 42nd Country Festival in the State of São Paulo. The structures of the arena, stage and audience seats were up to the country's great festivals.
The animals used for riding showed their improvement; they offered a great time and were praised by both the riders and the audience. Security was faultless and the festival was attended by personalities and celebrities from all walks of life. The Sunday parade showed floats made with excellent taste and color combinations. The queen's car, which showed allegories created by great plastic artist Dionisio Dhandréa, because of its size and magnificence, filled up a 3 x 4 meter truck and was 5.46 meter high, all arranged in classic style. It displayed a medallion which showed an empress sided by two horses and a royal crown on top. The crown was the highest piece on the queen's car.
The queen's supporting base was 1.6 meter high and showed carved figures such as a bull, two horses and a ram with twisted horns. And, not the least, two ponies rearing up on hind legs closed off the queen's car with the two most curious figures: two 1.65 meter angels dressed up like shirtless cowboys, both of them playing the violin.
The Brazilian Rodeo Flashes congratulates such a notable organizing committee, made up of men with courage and drive, who, above all, have struggled for a festival according to highest traditional standards despite all modernity. We remind that behind each and every man stood a valorous woman. Congratulations to president Leandro Campanha. BRF is proud to quote their names below:
