Known as the capital of the State of São Paulo's 8th regional administrative region, in Brazil, São José do Rio Preto, as it is also known, is proud to be the host of a number of country, cattle-breeding and agrobusiness events.


Monuments in honor of Cowboy in Brazil


Two curious monuments decorate different locations within the lands of two Brazilian states that very few know or appreciate, in fact they should be constantly feted endlessly as they contribute to national historical memory, this is the pawn of monuments dedicated to the cowboy, who sacrificed their lives in the arduous path of the highway known Cowboy, who quit Paranaiba-MS and went to Barretos-SP, who arrived there after a long day of dirt road, the cattle were killed and shipped in refrigerated wagons for Santos and other parts of Brazil and the world.

The cowboys were known to these professionals, led a hard life and were actually in the last century the great heroes of the construction of agriculture in this country, and are celebrated with parties of the so-called Cowboy, and hundreds perished in their path, countless victims of accidents and illnesses without ever returning home, because they were buried right there, the monuments were designed and carved by the artist-Plastic Dhandrea Dionisio, with the outbreak of the movement for recognition of the historical route of this road and having as its protagonists responsible for the following initiative, citizens Cosmoramense Adalberto Lopes da Silva, along with his father, the great knight Waldemar Lopes, in 2005, to Paranaiba-MS was carved in concrete in Uberaba-MG-SP and Barretos in Sao Jose do Rio Preto -SP and has portrayed the Cowboy José Benedito Pereira, grandfather of the artist, and they are dedicated to two personalities, Princess Italian Giada Ruspoli and Dom Orani João Tempesta, Archbishop of Rio de Janeiro.
