In a assembly held this Friday, October 27th, at the "Dr. Paulo Prata Events Center", Ricardo Rocha, more professionally known by the name of "Bodinho", assumed the presidency of the Club "Os Independentes", in the city of Barretos. (The Independents - Group of personalities that after being elected in assembly, are responsible together with its president, for the production of the biggest "Cowboy feast of Brazil", involving numerous equestrian traditions).
"Bodinho" was elected by the majority in an election held on October 8th. Other personalities were also inducted into the executive board, including: Hussein Gemha Junior, Vice President, Jerônimo Luiz Muzetti, Chief Financial Officer and João Carlos Branco, 1st Secretary.
In his speech "Bodinho" stated that he does not assume only the position of president, but a great responsibility to promote the largest "Cowboy feast" of the Barretos town, of all time.

And always with the intention of increasing tourism in the city, Ricardo also recalled, that one of his projects for management is to bring the feeling and enthusiasm of Christmas to the "Cowboy Park", and also decorate the historic building, corner of the street 18 to 23, with a super Christmas decoration. Also to rescue Carna Barretos, also the beauty contests for the election of the queens and also the "Cowboy Balls" and Sambão, "I want in my management to take a little of the daring of those 20 young people, who had the idea to make a great "Cowboy feast" in 1955. In this way we understand that the new president intends to make his administration a tribute to this annual event, which is the largest "Cowboy feast" in Brazil.
